Our first competition was a success. We saw a ton of really cool robots. There were 29 teams total and by the end we came in 23rd place though we did not win we still did good.
The Krakens are in crunch time yet again! Our next tournament is on the 15th in North branch .
The Builders and Programmers have been working together to make sure that the robot is functioning great for the competition. The Business/Marketing team has been working to perfect the Engineering Notebook and make sure the entire team is competition ready. We met for a full day of robotics the build team are hard at work on adding faster motors and working on the claw.the programers are hard at work testing and working on autonomous.
The Krakens are back with a new season, new people and a new game. This year the challenge is Sky Stone where we have to pick up blocks and bring them to a foundation on the other side of the field. This year, our team has a great Build, and Programming Team, but our Business Team is lacking.
Tournament number one is all wrapped up! Our first competition for the season was a great experience and we finished in 9th place which it a great place for this early in the year! We found many things we can improve for our next tournament (on January 20) like more things to hand out, what to change on our presentation, how to make the bot better, and what to change in our programing. We are all very exited for our next tournament!
Special thanks to our sponsors Culligan of Cloquet, Saturn Systems, Brownknows Design, Big Frog, Jerry Zimny, and Duluth Edison Charter Schools! We are 8 days tell are next tournament we are excited but a little stress.
The programers are working antinomies and . the camera for it to see The build team is working on replacing the motors for the weals for more speed and changing the ultra hub The business team is trying to make the display board scouting and the give away at the tournament We hope you can make it to the tournament and reach out to us so we could sponsor you we are working to help each other with what they need so programer and build and business are working on all the goals so we are done by the tournament. 5 days until our first competition, and we're really feeling the pressure! The Build Team is working on finishing the robot so the programmers can go through and make it tournament ready. We're down 3 builders so they're taking people from other teams to get things done. The Programmers are working on the stages of autonomous so we get things done and getting ready to upload the codes to the robot. Everything seems to be coming together just fine for them. The Business/Marketing team is working on getting the Engineering Notebook and Display Board done. They tend to throw papers and create a mess. The CAD team finished the mini field and is now helping the Build Team finish the bot. We, the Duluth Krakens, now have a team photo! We have 15 1/2 days until our first tournament, so we are at school on our day off so we can keep working on our robot! Our CAD team is working on making a mini field for demonstration purposes. The Business/Marketing team is working on the Engineering Notebook and Display Board. The Build Team is working on the Intake and the lifter/arm. The Programmers are working on programming a camera on the bot using Vuforia. |
