Game Explanation
The game this year is called Sky Stone. Sky Stones' theme is "to build a super structure" and our main goal is to collect Sky Stones (giant yellow legos) into the build site, or the foundation.
The game is split into 3 parts:
Autonomous: Everything is preprogrammed (30 seconds)
Tele-op (Driver Control): 2 drivers and 1 coach control the robot with a extra person (1 minute 30 seconds)
End Game: More point opportunities (30 seconds)
Autonomous:
There are many ways to score points during autonomous. You can move foundations to the build zone, if you are the first robot to get a skystone then you get 10 points, if you get a block on the foundation you get 2 points, if you park over the midfield tape you get 5 points, and if you move a block under the bridge you get 2 points.
Repositioning the Foundation: 10 points
Moving a Stone to Build Zone: 2 points per Stone
First 2 Skystones Moved to Building Zone : 10 points.
Parking Over Midfield Tape: 5 points.
Stone placed on foundation: 2 points per stone
Driver Control:
Driver control (tele-op) is the longest part of the game. It lasts 1 minutes, 30 seconds. During this period you have more opportunities to score points. Each alliance can score points by moving stones past your alliances bridge, and putting stones on the foundation.
Points for Driver Control:
Moving Stones Through Your Alliance's Bridge: 1 points per mineral
Placing Stones on Foundation : 1 points per mineral
Moving Stones Through the Neutral Bridge: 0 points
End Game:
The End Game is the last 30 seconds of the match. You can continue doing Tele-op tasks during this period but there are other tasks you can do. If you place a capstone on a skyscraper, and if you move the foundation off the build zone.
Points for End Game:
